Personal Message from President & Founder of TLC Mediation

“Hello, my name is Jann Catto, MSW, CDFA, and I would like to share a little about me because the actual divorce mediator is just as important as the mediation process itself. Yes, I have all the credentials and proper initials after my name, but my education can not properly highlight what honestly resides inside my heart and the sincere concern I have for couples to get to through this process as whole emotionally and financially as possible. My message to you is that you have found an advocate for your situation and the mediation process regardless of what led you here.

I am here to help, not judge. I have been through the traditional divorce process personally and it was the pain of that process that motivated me to launch TLC Mediation and help others avoid the pitfalls and unnecessary aggravation traditional divorce often delivers. My passion for helping couples get through the divorce process efficiently and emotionally intact serves my clients well. I have personally helped hundreds navigate turbulent divorce waters as a therapist, financial planner, certified divorce financial analyst, and mediator.

I have found that many divorce agreements simply don’t work in reality and my experience and knowledge can help couples make agreements that actually function smoothly for everyone in their post-divorce lives. What led to the couples divorce is not my focus, but providing creative solutions and options that work using my therapeutic and financial planning background is. My devotion is to finding solutions that otherwise will be left up to a random judge. Preserve the resources you have worked so hard for and protect your emotional capital as well. I urge everyone who is truly interested in solutions that work without all the emotional and financial cost to schedule a consult and try and mediate first. May brighter days lie ahead for you and your family. ”

My name is Jann Bate Catto, MSW, CDFA. I am the Founder and President of TLC Mediation, LLC. My background as a therapist, financial planner, and a divorced and remarried mother gives me a empathetic and realistic perspective approach to helping couples and their families navigate the divorce mediation process. I have been exactly where you are. It would be my pleasure to help you. Please allow me to tell you a little about myself.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College and received my Masters in Social Work from University of Pennsylvania. I worked as a therapist for several years before leaving the workforce to raise her three beautiful daughters. While going through my own divorce, I began my career as a financial planner. After experiencing first-hand the issues divorcing couples face, I made the decision to become an advocate to empower others and help them get through these times of crisis. My journey brought me to launch my own Divorce Mediation practice. I have been enthusiastically helping others navigate the muddy waters of divorce and get to calmer places where life can be enjoyed to its fullest once again.

My passion is in supporting my clients every step of the way and avoiding many of the mistakes that others unfortunately make in an emotional state of mind. My role is to help couples move through each stage of the divorce mediation process as fairly and efficiently as possible. I want to give them the tools to successfully get on with their lives and enjoy the sunlight once again. It will be a brighter day! As a Certified Financial Divorce Analyst, I also provides couples with the data and insight they need to make informed decisions about their financial futures.

I am very qualified to guide those who seek help. My education, experience and professional affiliation and continuous training is something I am very proud of and have worked hard to obtain. I am a proud member in good standing with:
